lucie is starting off 2015 in busy fashion! and in reverse chronological order!

[8th Feb. 2015] Zoom + Focus Concert, Universität der Künste Berlin, D: A semester concert of the composition students of Universität der Künste. I will contribute with my piece 2+1 (for two saxophones and voice), performed by Anton Alfvén (soprano sax), Andrew Fedorovitch (alto sax) and myself with voice.

[7th Feb. 2015] Lucie Vítková Presents Music of Christian Wolff, NK Projekt, Berlin, D: I will present the results of my collaboration with Berlin students and performers (akaTemporary Ensemble) with whose I have been working on the scores and music of Christian Wolff. [31stJan. 2015] Reflektor 5, West Germany Berlin, D: I will participate on the series of concerts Reflector, this time with a theme: Interplay of Sound and Performance, along Malte Giesen and Christiane Hommelsheim. More here.

[30thJan. 2015] Lunch Concert with Christian Wollf, Universität der Künste Berlin, D: I will present the results of my collaboration with Berlin students and performers (akaTemporary Ensemble) with whose I have been working on the scores and music of Christian Wolff. The concert will start at 14.00 at the Kleiner Vortragssaal at Bundesallee 1–12. On the program are pieces Changing the System and Peace March 10 (for John Heartfield).

[26thJan. 2015] Sweatshop (Ma Thilda), Wildenbruchstr. 68 Neukölln, Berlin, D: I play an improvisation night in trio with contrabassist Lennard Heyndels and saxophonist Gregor Siedel.

[25thJan. 2015] Concert with Music of Dieter Schnebel, Grunewaldkirche Berlin, D: I will perform piece for 7 vocal groups called Für Stimmen (…missa est) AMN with the choir of the Universität der Künste. The concert starts at 18.00.

[21stJan. 2015] SOWIESO, Weisestrasse 24, Berlin Neukölln, D:
Improvisation night with Ritwik Banerji (sax), Gregor Siedl (sax), Lucie Vítková (accordion) and Maxine (guitar,electronics,piano,percussion). In the intermission there will be an installation „Monty the Maxinean“.

[19th Jan. 2015] Learning to Improvise with Music of Christian Wolff, BIRG Berlin, D: I will give a presentation of my research about Christian Wolff´s music at the Berlin Improvisation Research Group (BIRG) meeting.

[18th Jan. 2015] Music of Lucie Vítková, Studio 8, Berlin, D: I will perform my pieces …nice and bitter…, Fast Interaction, With Voice and Reflections with composer and viola player Catherine Lamb and performer Takako Suzuki.

Bracken (after Christian Wolff) by Nicolas Collins, 2014
Bracken adapts the language of circuits and software for interpretation by any instrument. A computer generates and projects a live streaming score that that directs the payers to interact with one another following rules derived from binary logic and various methods of analog and digital signal processing. Articular Facet first performed Bracken for the Chicago Composers’ Consortium in 2014.
